40 years later: Remembering the Las Vegas Hilton Fire

February 10, 2021, marked 40 years since the second deadly hotel fire in three months shook Las Vegas to its core. The city was already reeling from the November fire that claimed 87 lives at the old MGM Grand (today Bally's). Then, on February 10, 1981, it was a terrible case of déjà vu. Propane tanks explode, one injured at Bellingham homeless encampment by ball fields

Dog killed in Vancouver house fire

A dog died in house fire Vancouver on Thursday night, according to the Vancouver Fire Department. Firefighters were called to 12311 S.E. McGillivray Boulevard at around 7:40 p.m. The flames were so intense that attacking firefighters had to withdrawal from the building. At one point a firefighter was temporarily trapped.
