Victims identified in fiery Terrace Heights crash

Two people are dead after a car went off the road and caught fire late Wednesday night. According to the Yakima County Sherriff's Office, authorities were called out at about 11:45 p.m. the 9000 block of Roza Hill Drive, east of the Terrace Heights landfill, for a single car rollover. Officials say the car had caught fire and started a small brush fire.

Othello buys new fire truck

The city of Othello will spend $637,670 to buy a new fire truck. Mayor Shawn Logan said the new truck is what’s called a pumper, which gets most of its water supply from a fire hydrant and is primarily used to fight structure fires. The truck will be built from the chassis up, and construction will take a year to 18 months.

7-year-old girl and her father die in Mukilteo area house fire

A 7-year-old girl and her father died early Thursday morning in a house fire near Mukilteo. Leslie Hynes of South County Fire said it happened about 3 a.m. in the 2800 block of York Road. The home is located at the end of a long driveway. The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. Firefighters had to back out of the house after the roof collapsed.

St. Lucie County Fire District (FL) Welcomes Fire Apparatus

The St. Lucie County Fire District has welcomed a new fire apparatus, reports CBS 12.

The station put Engine 1 into service with a traditional “push-in” ceremony in Fort Pierce.

Chaplain Tommy Neiman, a retired lieutenant, presided over the ceremony.
