The Yakima Health District reported 29 new positive coronavirus cases Thursday evening.
Health officials say there are now 12,923 total cases of the virus.
At least 12 more people have recovered from the virus, now totaling 12,026, according to YHD.
The recovery number is based on people who have gone 28+ days since their positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Current Castle Rock Police Chief Scott Neves will have a new title in April: Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue Fire Chief.
He will replace current Fire Chief Dave LaFave, who has served in the position since 2001 and with Cowlitz 2 since 1983, according to a Cowlitz 2 press release. LaFave announced his retirement earlier this year.

The Yakima Fire Department (YFD) responded to a fire last night, Wednesday, which destroyed a residential structure, displacing four people and two dogs.
Firefighters were called to the 700 block of North 4th Street at 10:38 pm Wednesday night. Crews found a one-and-a-half-story residential structure fully involved.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department saw a large volume of calls the week of Oct. 19-25, which were pushed up by the 100 calls that came in during the 24-hour shift that began 8 a.m. Oct. 23, the day record-breaking amounts of snowfall led to other things like tree branches breaking.
Crews helped removed fallen branches and trees if they were blocking someone inside their home, were blocking fire hydrants or created an immediate hazard.

VIDEOS: A fire caused significant damage to a home in Bryan on West 16th Street just after 5:00 a.m. Monday.
As the call came over the radio for a structure fire, Bryan Police Officer Marshal Field says he ran to his vehicle, threw on his lights and sirens, and headed straight to the house. Once Field arrived, he says he could hear someone yelling from the house that they were stuck.
