Fourteen firefighters with the Department of Natural Resources are now in quarantine after a fellow firefighter tested positive for coronavirus.
The firefighter was asymptomatic and tested positive after responding to the Anglin Wildfire near Tonasket. The fire has since been contained and the fire camp has been demobilized.

Redmond Interim Fire Chief Don Horton will leave his post next month after taking a permanent position as a fire chief near Atlanta, Georgia, where he can be closer to his family.
The city announced Horton's resignation Monday, set to take effect on Friday, Sept. 14. Horton served as Redmond's Deputy Fire Chief for four and a half years and has more than four decades of experience in Virginia, Arkansas and Virginia.

Firefighters across Cowlitz County had a busy weekend battling several brush and vehicle fires, though no injuries were reported. It was such a hectic weekend that Cowlitz 2 Battalion Chief James Graham quipped that a freshly-minted lieutenant at the agency got more than he bargained for on his training day Sunday.

A 49-year-old Yakima woman accused of setting her mother's home on fire Sunday possibly faces charges of first-degree arson and violating a no-contact order.
The woman made a preliminary appearance Monday in Yakima County Superior Court.
