Startup Allerio announced that its easy-to-use Mobile Hub broadband platform designed for EMS use and the healthcare community has been certified for use by the FCC and multiple U.S. carriers—FirstNet/AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular.
“One of the unique things about this is that there’s one button on it—it turns the device on, and it turns the device off,” Allerio CEO TJ Kennedy said during an interview with IWCE’s Urgent Communications.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday expanded its list of risk factors that make people more likely to develop severe illness or die from COVID-19. The update comes as the number of confirmed coronavirus infections rises to record levels in the United States, driven by alarming spikes in Florida, Texas and other states across the South and West.

A 72-year-old man was killed in a house fire early Monday morning.
The Spokane Fire Department responded to the fire on E. 6th Ave and S. Magnolia St around 3:15 a.m. Firefighters had to force their way into the home and found heavy heat and smoke.
According to the fire department, the house was found to be in “hoarder conditions” and had unstable flooring.

Authorities quickly arrested a teenager thanks to the help of witnesses after an explosion in a residential neighborhood near Rogers High School on Sunday afternoon.
Police received reports of a loud explosion in the 1700 block of East Rockwell Avenue at about 4 p.m. Sunday, according to a Spokane Police Department news release .
