A coalition of unions representing healthcare workers and first responders is calling on the D.C. government to take a more aggressive approach on coronavirus testing.
The organizations fear doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare workers will be unable to treat patients if too many of them get sick.

A 2-alarm fire has caused significant damage to an abandoned building in Lynnwood Tuesday morning.
The fire started sometime just before 2 a.m. in the 18100 block of Highway 99, according to Leslie Hynes with South (Snohomish) County Fire.
Photos from the scene showed large flames flowing from the roof of the building as firefighters from nearby Everett and Mukilteo were called in to help battle the blaze.

Much of the Pacific Northwest is facing “significant large fire potential” for the summer, according to the latest National Interagency Fire Center forecast.
Despite a wet and cool March and forecasts of April showers, the agency expects that the region’s long-term drought conditions will persist.
“Beyond April, long range outlooks depict strong confidence for warmer and drier than average conditions for Oregon and Washington through July,” the report released April 1 states.

The pilot of an ultralight aircraft died Monday morning when they crashed in North Clark County, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies were called out about 9:20 a.m. Monday after someone said they might have seen an ultralight crash near Daybreak Airport on JA Moore Road in the Battle Ground/La Center area.
