Crews rescue woman swept over Spirit Falls in Skamania County

The Skamania County Sheriff's Office and other emergency personnel helped rescue a woman who fell over Spirit Falls, near Cook, Washington, Monday evening. According to the sheriff's office, deputies, search and rescue crews, and medics responded to Spirit Falls on the White Salmon River after receiving a call that a woman had gone over the falls shortly after 5:30 p.

Fire engulfs Quilcene residence

PHOTO: Quilcene Fire Rescue and resources from five other departments extinguished a residential fire Monday afternoon on Center Road near the intersection with East Columbia Street. No injuries were reported. Quilcene Fire Chief Tim McKern said crews responded at about 3 p.m. along with resources from East Jefferson Fire-Rescue, Brinnon Fire Rescue, Mason County Fire, Discovery Bay Fire Rescue and Port Ludlow Fire Rescue.

Suspect in Custody After Vehicle Arson in Moses Lake

Moses Lake Police and Fire responded to a vehicle fire in the 3-thousand block of Peninsula Sunday afternoon. Fire Marshal Derek Beach says the initial reports were someone was throwing rocks through a window. “When crews arrived, there were two vehicles and a boat that had fire damage. Coronavirus a ‘slow-moving earthquake’ Whatcom Unified Command is working to ease

Whatcom County officials last week created a single agency to address the new coronavirus.
