Four firefighters were taken to a hospital after a CalFire fire truck rolled over, reports KMJNow.

The fire engine was carrying a fire crew from CAL Fire San Diego Monte-Vista Ranger Unit that was heading back from the Creek Fire.

Silvis will hold a dedication ceremony for its new pumper fire apparatus, reports KWQC 6.

 

That dedication ceremony will be held Wednesday evening at the Silvis fire station.

A government report says the driver of a Tesla that crashed into a fire truck near Los Angeles was using the car's Autopilot system, reports USA Today.

The driver did not see the parked fire truck and did not brake.

The Culver City fire truck had stopped in the northbound high occupancy vehicle lane with its emergency lights flashing as it responded to another crash. The firefighters were uninjured.

Yakima Firefighters battled flames from a burning arborvitae in the area of South 53rd Avenue and Chestnut Wednesday (Sept. 4) afternoon. The fire, reported shortly after noon, might have started in a faulty transformer or by downed power lines. An investigation is underway. The fire came close to a home and an RV, but firefighters were able to douse the flames before anything else burned.

Vashon Island Fire & Rescue recently upgraded its search and rescue prop — a training space it uses for current firefighters and students in the fire academies it hosts twice a year. In the place of two old shipping containers at the end of their useful life, there is a new structure designed to be flexible and mimic a residential three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, with a one-bedroom, one bathroom configuration also possible thanks to movable walls.
