VIDEO: Semi crashes into SR 512 guardrail, setting truck ablaze in Puyallup

A semi burst into flames Monday morning in Puyallup, snarling the morning commute along SR 512. It was around 2 a.m. when a semi in the eastbound lanes on the overpass to Golden Given Road crashed into a guardrail, rolling the truck over and setting it ablaze, troopers said. Video from the scene shows the flaming semi with at least two holes in the trailer.

Fire truck crashes in Grant County, firefighter sent to the hospital

The firefighter was heading to a brush fire when the truck rolled over. No other cars or people were involved. The firefighter came from Grant County Fire District 10. Fellow firefighters responded and got the crew member out. The crash happened about three miles west of Royal City. Washington State Patrol will be investigating.

Arson investigation continues a year after fire at Fruit Packers Supply in Yakima

A year after two fires caused more than $20 million in damage to a Yakima fruit-packing supply company, investigators are still trying to find out who did it. “The case is still open,” Jason Chudy, spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said of the two August 2018 fires at Fruit Packers Supply on North 16th Avenue.

Yakima first responders thank two young girls who alerted parents about house fire

The Yakima Police and Fire departments are praising two vigilant young girls who spotted a duplex fire and alerted their parents Friday afternoon. The girls spotted smoke coming from a duplex in the 600 block of E. Race St at about 12:55 p.m. No one who lives at the duplex was home when the fire started, according to police and Yakima Fire Capt.

Freemasons to Lay Cornerstone at Mossyrock Fire Station
