Female firefighters in Florida participate in study for new gear

VIDEO: The number of female firefighters is growing in Orange County and across the country, but what's not changing is the way their gear fits -- until now. Thanks to efforts from researchers from more than a dozen universities across the country and the female voice, a study is underway to make sure firefighters can do their job without fear their gear will interrupt their duties.

San Francisco firefighters learn Spanish to save precious time in emergencies

On a Wednesday morningin the middle of July, class is in session at San Francisco Waldorf High School. "So, Ha pasado antes? Has it happened before?" Clark County Fire District 6 honors heroes from river rescue

A life was saved on the Washougal River on May 4, 2019. That sentence says it all, but says very little, too. A life was indeed saved that day, a rescue that involved many first responders from many departments. On Tuesday night, Clark County Fire District 6 specifically honored four individuals, while noting that others could be honored in the future by other agencies.

Three-alarm fire burns two landmark businesses in downtown Bellingham

The Bellingham Fire Department battled a three-alarm fire throughout the night Wednesday, July 17, at Clark Feed and Seed on Railroad Avenue in downtown Bellingham. The fire also spread next door to Avalon Records. According to the initial report on the PulsePoint app, crews responded to a commercial fire at Clark Feed and Seed at 1326 Railroad Ave.
