On September 26, 2023, Firefighter/Paramedic Sabine Arnold worked her last shift of a 30-year career with the Shoreline Fire Department.
Sabine started with Shoreline Fire in 1993 as a Firefighter/EMT. In 1999, Sabine served as an Acting Lieutenant prior to being selected to attend the University of Washington’s Paramedic Training Program where she graduated from Class #26 in July 2000.

PHOTOS: The Seattle Fire Department extinguished a homeless encampment fire in the University district just after 1 p.m. on Thursday.
After the fire had started, black smoke began pouring out of the greenbelt near the 50th exit of I-5 and could be seen from Red Square on the University of Washington Campus.

Firefighters responded to a residential fire in Maple Valley around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
They used an offensive fire attack where crews climbed on top of the house in order to ventilate its roof. The fire was located in the 29900 block of South East 243rd Place.
The flames were burning the garage and attic of the house.

The public is invited to a memorial service for Ron Roy who died in July after 50 years as a Wenatchee Valley Fire Department volunteer.
Roy was a division chief of volunteers for the Wenatchee Valley Fire Department, and before that worked for the Chelan County PUD.
The memorial service will be held at the Wenatchee Convention Center, located at 121 N.

A video released by the Winston-Salem Fire Department on Wednesday shows two firefighters getting hurt while responding to a call for service.
On Oct. 5, fire officials were working at East Sprague Street in Winston-Salem when a part of the structure collapsed on two firefighters. Other firefighters on the scene rushed to help the two who were injured and pulled them out of the rubble.
