VIDEO: October is National Fire Prevention Month, and one local firefighter has a unique way of inspiring younger generations to take an interest in a firefighting career. For the past 18 years, Bo Chaney has served with the Rockford Fire Department. Today, Chaney is a recruiter, looking for the next group of first responders to protect the city.

PHOTOS: A 50 year veteran of the fire service in the Wenatchee Valley was remembered for his leadership, dedication, kindness and advocacy for volunteer firefighters. Wenatchee Valley Fire Division Chief Ron Roy passed away in July at 68, after battling leukemia. Roy received full fire service honors at Wenatchee Convention Center on Saturday.

VIDEO: A Federal Way Jack-in-the-Box went up in flames after a driver crashed into the restaurant early Friday morning. The accident happened at a location on Pacific Highway South and South 312th Street just after 1 a.m. The driver in the incident was fleeing from a traffic stop at the time it crashed into the restaurant, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

VIDEO: A 15-year-old allegedly threatened EMS workers with a gun at the Canton Township EMS station in Washington County on Wednesday night. Police said the teenager walked through the garage doors with a loaded 9mm handgun. "All the sudden, I see the red lights and blue lights," said Harold Plants, who lives nearby.
