Yakima County Fire District 5 (YFD5) says they've run out of money to replace outdated equipment and make stations reasonable for their hardworking firefighters. Geographically, fire district 5 is the largest district in the state. It was incorporated in 1947 and since then, fire leaders say they have never had to ask for a tax increase.
