California Doctor Charged in Opioid Case Is Linked to DUI Crash That Killed Fire Captain

An Orange County doctor has been arrested on suspicion of illegally selling powerful narcotics to a man who is suspected in a DUI crash that killed a Costa Mesa fire captain, as well as selling drugs to five people who went on to fatally overdose, local officials with the Justice Department announced Tuesday.

Opportunity knocks again for Arlington's new fire chief

For Dave Kraski, his foray into firefighting began with a knock at the door. Firefighters rescue man, dog from house fire Monday night in Kelso

Firefighters rescued a man and his dog from a house fire in the 300 block of Northwest Second Avenue in Kelso Monday night. Crews from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue and the Longview Fire Department responded to the one-story house around 9 p.m. Neighbors and police officers reported that there was still a man inside, according to a press release.

Cole County (MO) Commission Approves Ambulance Purchases

 
 

EMS director Matt Lindewirth said some of the agency's ambulances have too many miles and constantly need maintenance. Cole County EMS has 12 ambulances in its fleet and the two new ones will replace two on the front lines.

The purchase from Demers comes in almost $20,000 under the budget of about $235,000 per ambulance and equipment, while a purchase from Osage Industries would have come in nearly $23,000 over budget.
