VIDEO/PHOTOS: A driver who plunged off a 100-foot cliff in a remote area of Southern California and spent five days "immobilized" in their wrecked pickup truck, was rescued this weekend by firefighters who formed a human pulley system to pluck the victim from the ravine, authorities said.

A body camera captured some daunting moments in a Spokane County police officer’s life a couple of weeks ago.
Deputy Brittan Morgan was out advising citizens to evacuate the quickly spreading Oregon Road Fire when he got caught in the middle of it.
His body camera captured him driving on a road with flames burning on both sides of him.

The Sourdough fire in the Ross National Recreation area has had minimal growth with the arrival of cooler temperatures and light rain.
The fire remains at 6,234 acres with 25% containment.
Park officials have reopened some trails, and camps including Diablo and Gorge overlooks, East Bank, and Thunder Knob trails.

VIDEO: A driver and passenger were killed in an apparent street race when their vehicle crashed into a firetruck, injuring four crewmembers, in West Compton Tuesday.
The crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. as the engine company was responding to a medical incident, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Craig Little said.
