A driver has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a fire truck already attending to another accident on the M1. Traffic was banking up in both directions at Rochedale South after the crash in the southbound lane, with the highway cut to one lane in that direction.
A driver crashed into the back of a fire apparatus that was staged to respond to a separate two-car crash on a highway in Queensland, Australia.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said the car was wedged under the back of the fire truck. The driver was extricated from beneath the apparatus, then transported in serious condition.
