A Kennewick family is now displaced from their home, following a fire that began just before 11:45 P.M., in the area of South Belfair Street and West 8th Court, Monday.
Kennewick Fire Department Deputy Chief Michael Heffner says although several fire crews were able to arrive quickly to the scene, the fire moved quicker - making its way into the attic space from the back patio of the home.

VIDEO: Two women died Monday night in a fire at a condominium complex in Mountlake Terrace.
Crews responded to the 22700 block of Lakeview Drive after multiple 911 calls reported large flames around 10:20 p.m., according to South County Fire. The Lake Village Condominiums are located near Lake Ballinger.

Fire crews have gained control of a 4-alarm fire that ignited in a neighborhood near 40th Street and McDowell Road Friday afternoon.
The Phoenix Fire Department said the fire started as a backyard palm tree fire that quickly spread into dense vegetation and surrounding homes. The hot embers from the fire became airborne and landed on nearby homes, alleyways and vegetation.
