Wisconsin fire station brings back a little history, receives a replica firefighter bell

VIDEO: The Appleton Fire Department hosted a bell dedication ceremony on Wednesday morning to celebrate Station #1 receiving a new firefighter’s bell. Officials say that throughout history, the life of a firefighter has been closely associated with the ringing of the bell. As firefighters began their tour of duty, it was the bell that signaled the start of a shift.

Body found after vacant building catches fire in south Seattle

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Crews from the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) found a body responding to a vacant commercial building fire in south Seattle on Thursday morning. Single-story house and three vehicles burn in Vancouver fire, six people displaced

Just after 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 10700 block of Northeast 81st Way. The first arriving crews found a single-story house and three cars fully involved. Officials say the fire was threatening surrounding structures. Vancouver Fire sent a total of 24 personnel to battle the blaze.

VIDEO: Firefighters put out fire at Texas boat and RV storage warehouse

Firefighters put out a warehouse fire Wednesday morning that was sparked by candles a man lit in north Houston, and SkyEye was the first on scene. The fire started at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday at A-Safe-T Storage at 11539 N. Houston Rosslyn at Breen Drive. SkyEye video shows the warehouse, which stores boats and RVs, is a total loss.
