When a Firetruck Showed Up on His Street, Toddler Lost His Mind

by: Allie Goolrick Updated: An Atlanta toddler is charming the internet with his adorable freak-out about a firetruck that parked in front of his Cander Park house last month. Max, 2½, just couldn't contain his excitement when a firetruck showed up outside his window.

Video shows the toddler standing on a small chair in his room to peer out the window. Moments later, he alerts his parents in the most adorable way.

Mayor Unveils First of 23 New Fire Engines on Firefighter Appreciation Day

With the snip of a ribbon, Mayor Martin J. Walsh christened the first of the Boston Fire Department's 23 new fire engines Thursday at the Engine 17 firehouse in Dorchester. "With these new engines, we continue to make the Boston Fire Department stronger and more able to respond to the needs of every citizen," Walsh said.
The children cheered as the ribbon was cut, ran their hands across the engine’s shiny red paint, and giggled when they dropped the plastic firefighter hats they had been given. At the end of the ceremony, they offered handwritten notes to the firefighters who are often seen in the halls of their school.

Fire truck hit by semi-truck while responding to trailer-truck fire in Crawford County Fire truck hit by semi-truck while responding to trailer-truck fire in Crawford County A fire truck is hit by a semi-truck on Interstate-40 while responding to a trailer-truck fire. The trailer-truck was located near exit 21.

Arkansas State Police officers say the fire truck driver was heading westbound and then while trying to turn around in a median for emergency vehicles, it was hit by a semi-truck.

Bothell Fire Chief to retire

Fire Chief Bob Van Horne has announced his retirement, effective May 15, after 36 years in the fire service. Chief Van Horne has been Bothell's Fire Chief since 2009. He has served a total of 36 years in the fire service. The City has engaged a search firm to manage the selection process for a new Fire Chief.

Fire destroys RV in Jefferson County

A recreational vehicle was destroyed by fire in the Glen Cove area late Thursday morning. No injuries were reported, said Bill Beezley, spokesman for East Jefferson Fire-Rescue. Firefighters were called to a blaze near the intersection of Sixth and Stevens streets at 10:27 a.m. after two men driving by the recreational vehicle saw a plume of smoke, flames and downed power lines across the road, then called 9-1-1, Beezley said.
