Olympia Fire Department Captain battles industry's higher cancer risk, alongside his disease

A firefighter’s smoke-stained gear and burn-marked helmet are almost badges of honor, says Olympia Fire Department Capt. At the request of Hotshot family members, the council agreed to delay advertising the Station 7 parcel to allow time for an alternative plan.
