Boothbay Region Ambulance Service will soon roll out its new ambulance, which arrived about a month ago.

WEST ALLIS - The West Allis Fire Department is bringing Southeast Wisconsin its first off-road ambulance, after more than two years of working to get it here. Madison and Green Bay are the only other departments in the state with one. The mini ambulance can go places most rescue vehicles can't even attempt.

WOOD RIVER - Wood River looks to beef up their force by adding a smaller and more agile truck, as a cost-saving measure. Wood River Fire Department is diligently seeking out a smaller fire apparatus, a purchase said to ultimately save the city money.

"Do I need the scissors, or do I need the knife? That's what this is essentially like," said Greg Hayes, public safety director for Mdewakanton Public Safety. Firefighters for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community are now training on this all-inclusive truck.
