VIDEO/PHOTOS: Crews responded to a large fire at an encampment next to Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle Friday morning.
The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) responded to the fire located just south of the intersection of Seventh Avenue and James Street around 5:25 a.m. The fire was burning in a wooded area north of Yesler Way between I-5 and Harborview Medical Center.

VIDEO: A wildfire burning near East Wenatchee in Douglas County grew to an estimated 700 acres in about four hours on Thursday, July 20.
The Badger Fire started around 3:30 p.m. and was about 700 acres and growing by 7:30 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. State fire assistance was mobilized to support local firefighters.

Crews responded to a 2-alarm fire in a vacant, boarded-up warehouse in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Thursday morning.
The fire on the 1000 block of South King Street was first reported around 6:35 a.m. and sent a plume of black smoke into the air that could be seen for miles.
The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) said crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building when they arrived at the scene.

VIDEO: A family of eight people woke up to their house on fire early Thursday morning, and all the people escaped without injury.
It was just after 12:20 a.m. when the family called firefighters after they woke up to a fire in the garage, which spread through the house. Located on 149th Street East in Puyallup, the family, who all appeared to be adults, got out fine, but the fire would consume the house reaching the fence line, damaging a car in the process, leaving the family displaced and under the care of the Red Cross.
