Heartwarming reunion after baby delivered by firefighters in Samammish

It was a special reunion for a group of firemen at Fire Station 83 in the city of Sammamish Monday morning. It was the first time three firefighters who helped deliver a baby at the side of the road on June 7 were able to meet the little boy who came into the world unexpectedly, surprising everyone, including his parents.

13th Avenue house fire in Kennewick temporarily displaces family

The fire started in one of the units of a fourplex off 13th Avenue and Olympia. Kennewick's Fire Department got to the scene Sunday night and fought the flames to keep them from spreading into the other units. Fire Captain Cary Cole tells us, " there is moderate damage to the apartment unit, but we were able to keep the fire spreading to the other units.

Five Injuries Reported in Falmouth (MA) Crash Involving Ambulance

Falmouth Police report that at approximately 10:16 a.m. Monday they responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 151 at the intersection with Currier Road. The collision reportedly involved an ambulance from out of town and another vehicle.
According to police, the crash occurred when a Hyundai Elantra operated by a 48-year-old Mashpee woman was stopped in the westbound lane waiting to turn left onto Currier Road. A Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills (COMM) Fire/Rescue ambulance approached westbound with emergency lights and siren activated bound for Falmouth Hospital. As the ambulance passed, the Elantra turned left into the ambulance.

The operator and sole occupant of the Elantra and the occupants of the COMM ambulance, a patient and 3 paramedics, were all transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire/Rescue ambulances. All injuries are reported to be not life threatening.
