But there was one 5-year-old girl who stole the show. This is Letty Willmore. She came to the First Responders event dressed up as her Uncle Chris.

The Arkansas Professional Firefighters Association is shedding light on two new laws in the state looking to meet some of the most essential needs for their responders. The union recently selected Sen. Clarke Tucker (D-Little Rock) as their legislator of the year after his help with two bills that became law in the recent legislative session.

PHOTO: According to a Facebook post made by the Richland Police Department, a downed powerline and shed fire required teamwork from multiple first responders. At 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 25 officers arrived to help Richland Fire and Emergency Services, a powerline had broken and created a live wire in the roadway.

PHOTOS: Two Chehalis Fire Department firefighters — Shane Schow and Braxton Traylor — were promoted to captain on Monday, Oct. 23, during the beginning of the Chehalis City Council meeting. Following their promotions, Chehalis Mayor Tony Ketchum delivered a proclamation making this Saturday, Oct. 28, National First Responders Day within the city.

Firefighters are reminding everyone of winter fire safety as you get prepared for the freezing temperatures headed our way. Starting at 11 pm tonight and continuing until 9 tomorrow morning, weather officials say it's going to get between 27 and 31 degrees. These temperatures can kill crops and cause damage to outdoor plumbing.
