PHOTOS: Several semi-trucks, utility poles and at least one RV were involved in a large fire in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. The fire near East Marginal Way South and 1st Avenue South at the north end of the 1st Avenue Bridge closed all lanes of northbound State Route 99 due to the fire.

VIDEO: More than 50 fire personnel battled a two-alarm fire at a Burien elementary school on Wednesday morning. Crews responded before midnight to Southern Heights Elementary school on 14th Avenue South before midnight. The fire response blocked 14th Avenue. Last Thursday, the Anacortes Fire Department celebrated the centennial birthday of the newly restored fire engine, Engine 2, and the first birthday of their new fire truck, Truck 29. The AFD conducted a ceremonial “push in” ceremony for their new firetruck. The new vehicle is a 2024 Pierce Aerial Ladder Truck, and it replaced their 2000 American LaFrance ladder truck.
