Home destroyed by large fire in Bothell

Crews battled a large house fire in Bothell overnight. Firefighters were called to a home on the corner of 176th Street Northeast and Northeast 93rd Avenue near Bothell Landing Park at around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Bothell Fire said everyone inside the house got out safely. With live power lines and extremely dry brush in the area, a Puget Sound Energy crew was called to the scene while firefighters worked to keep the flames from spreading.

RV fire kills dog, emits heavy smoke over Centralia

PHOTOS: People across Centralia on Friday evening reported a thick, black cloud of smoke just before 6 p.m. due to a fire from an RV parked under the Sixth Street Viaduct in Centralia’s Logan District. A dog was killed in the blaze and the RV was destroyed. The blaze “scorched” the underside of the viaduct, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VIDEOS: Fire Rescue chopper crashes into apartment building in Florida

A Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue helicopter crashed into an apartment building in Pompano Beach Monday morning, authorities confirmed. The crash was reported just after 8:45 a.m. in the area of North Dixie Highway and Atlantic Boulevard, southwest of the Pompano Beach Airpark. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that three people were onboard the Eurocopter EC135 helicopter that “crashed into a structure.

Twin firefighters hoping to inspire next generation at FDNY

VIDEO: Identical twins Manuel and Emmanuel Zuaznabar broke through barriers to achieve their goal of becoming New York City firefighters, and now they're sharing their story of success in hopes of inspiring the next generation. Coined the "Z brothers," the 29-year-old, half-Dominican half-Cuban twins were born on Staten Island and raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
