Police release video of December car explosion at Everett Fred Meyer

VIDEO: Everett police have released a video from December showing a car that exploded at the entrance of a Fred Meyer. On Dec. 23, 2022, police say Ronald Greg Lewis, 57, drove through the front entrance of the Fred Meyer at 8530 Evergreen Way. When officers arrived, they saw Lewis begin to pour gasoline on himself.

Stubborn trailer fire blocked I-405 in Kirkland

A fire that erupted in a semi-truck’s trailer blocked lanes of southbound Interstate 405 in Kirkland for hours on Friday. The fire started sometime before 10 a.m. Three lanes were blocked just south of Northeast 85th Street, causing traffic to back up for miles. Two of the three lanes reopened shortly before 1 p.

VIDEOS: Fire, chemical leak reported at refinery in Louisiana

Personnel working at Marathon Petroleum Refinery in St. John the Baptist Parish, along with local emergency officials, responded to a chemical spill and fire at a storage tank at the company’s Garyville refinery on Friday, Aug. 25. The spill and fire have been contained within the refinery’s property, according to the company.

The Owensboro Fire Department is sharing some favorite firehouse recipes through their new Facebook cooking show called “Food on Fire.” The show gives viewers a look into the kitchens inside the fire stations. OFD Captain Bobby Grant said since the stations are like second homes for the firefighters, they often cook most of their meals there while on the clock.
