VIDEO: Arlington County Fire and EMS addressed an image showing an explosion near the Pentagon Monday, tweeting that there was no credibility to the picture.
The photo was posted on Twitter and circulated across social media platforms. Some news outlets, including Russia Today, were among the organizations and people who shared the image, which appeared to show a large cloud of smoke rising near a building.

Fire crews from Kennewick Fire Department (KFD) responded to multiple calls on Sunday, May 21 at 5:59 p.m. that reported "multiple trees on fire and heavy black smoke". Callers also reported hot embers falling and smoldering on nearby neighbors' roofs.
Within 5 minutes of the 911 call, the first KFD fire crew arrived at the scene and saw a "natural vegetation" fire about a half-acre in size.

A brush fire spread to two duplexes on Pullman's College Hill Monday afternoon, displacing a family and injuring three.
Pullman firefighters were called out to a grass fire that was threatening multiple structures around 12:30 p.m. near NE Hillside Drive and NE Wheatland Drive.
Crews arrived at the scene and began battling the brush fire that had already spread to a duplex due to 25 mph winds.

VIDEO: A car plummeted down an embankment off Highway 18 Monday morning, catching fire and snarling traffic in Maple Valley.
The crash, which was reported around 8 a.m., happened in the eastbound lanes just east of the 244th Avenue Southeast exit.
Thick black smoke billowed into the air after the crash.

On May 21, 2023 at approximately 7:23 p.m. the Washington County Communications Center began taking 911 calls reporting smoke and flame coming from Oak Creek Wood Products, which is located alongside I-41 south of Slinger in the Town of Polk. The first responding Deputy observed dark smoke coming from the area while still en route.
