Choosing to slow down and move over is a simple choice that keeps everyone safe. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is partnering with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the Towing and Recovery Association of Washington (TRAW) and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) to conduct a “Move Over, Slow Down” campaign that began in March and will continue through April.

Several semi-trailers were destroyed in a fire in Everett early Friday.
At around 4:40 a.m., Everett firefighters were called to Value Village at 6220 Evergreen Way.
Crews arrived to find several semi-trailers burning next to the store. Firefighters worked to put out the flames and kept the fire from spreading to the building.

Fire agencies across Spokane County are reporting an increase in illegal burning calls and uncontrolled fires across the county.
Burning outdoors, including yard debris, is not allowed in most areas of Spokane County, and recreational fires are currently allowed until burn restrictions are put in place later this summer.

A massive fire destroyed a barn in far west suburban Sugar Grove Thursday.
Firefighters from Elburn and Countryside assisted in containing the fire in the barn at 3-S-598 Bliss Rd. The fire was in a rural area with no fire hydrants, requiring tanks of water to be shuttled in.
The barn was destroyed in the fire.

VIDEO: The Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS team has a new way of treating patients dealing with pain, that's also addressing the state's opioid epidemic.
It's called the Nitronox and it's inside every AMFEMS ambulance. It's a portable machine that uses a mix of oxygen and nitrous oxide to treat patients for pain while they're on a scene or in the back of an ambulance headed toward the hospital.
