VIDEO: A Waldorf Firefighter is lucky to be alive after a diesel tank explosion surrounded the 23-year-old in flames early Tuesday morning. It started as a barn fire in Charlotte Hall, Charles County, Md. "I was flowing water on the tank and actually I stopped flowing water for about three seconds," said Allen Bizzell, who told WUSA 9 that's all it took for the explosion to happen.

Members of Washington's congressional delegation wrote a letter to President Obama urging him to expedite Governor Jay Inslee's emergency declaration request to help fight wildfires he described as "an unprecedented cataclysm."
