PHOTOS: South County Fire welcomed its new fire engine Tuesday morning with a traditional roll-in ceremony.
During the ceremony, those in attendance pushed the new engine into Lynnwood Civic Center Fire Station 15. The custom dates back to the 1830s and the days of horse-drawn equipment, which could not be easily backed into the station.

Franklin County Fire District 3 says that the Manton Way Fire between Mesa and Connell, as of Tuesday morning, is estimated at 5,000 acres.
No homes have been damaged. Crews are still on scene from multiple agencies and the fire is estimated at 30% containment.

The City of Pullman is being fined by the Washington Department of Labor and Industries for their handling of the flooding response in April.
Three $900 violations have totaled up to $2,700 for the City, which decided to pay the fines rather than appeal them.
According to the City of Pullman, Labor and Industries issued the first $900 penalty for a fire department commander allowing an unauthorized, untrained maintenance employee to drive a front-end loader with three firefighters in the bucket.
