An East Tennessee landmark is now completely gone after a fire late Tuesday night.
Cumberland County Fire Rescue responded to a fire at Minister’s Treehouse in Crossville around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. We’re told the entire building burned to the ground in about 15 minutes.
No injuries have been reported.

The Walla Walla City Council will hear a presentation about improvements needed to the current fire department drill site and structures when it meets for its work session Monday at 4 p.m. WWFD Chief Bob Yancey and Captain John Knowles will be making the presentation.
The current facility, which is near Washington Park, southwest of West Cherry Street and North Ninth Avenue was built in the early 1970s and has served area fire departments for over 45 years.

On Thursday, October 24, friends, family and loved ones will come together to honor the life of Lt. Kirk Dean Robinson. Lt. Robinson passed away on Friday, October 4, after a heroic two-year-long battle with cancer. He was a member of the Bothell Fire Department for 18 years.
At 11:05 a.m., a memorial procession will begin.

Diesel engine exhaust emissions in fire stations expose firefighters to health risks, including certain types of cancers as well as pulmonary and cardiac diseases.
The Lynden Fire Department recently received notice it has been successful in an application for a Federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant to buy a diesel exhaust source-capture system.

On Wednesday morning, October 23rd, Summit Pacific will be taking part in a full-scale incident response training. Patient care and normal day to day operations will not be impacted, though patients and visitors may notice an increase in traffic to Summit Pacific facilities as well as mock patients with makeup depicting fake injuries.
