One person has died, and another was injured in what appears to be a construction accident in Thurston County.
It happened at about 11 a.m. in the area of 16300 block of Vail Loop Rd. Southeast.

More big changes are coming to Spokane County Fire District 3 in southwest Spokane County after the district annexed Medical Lake into its boundaries in August.
The district has used paid command staff and volunteer firefighters in the past but recently announced it was taking applications for career firefighters and additional battalion chiefs.

Two people are dead after a house erupted in flames late Wednesday night.
Yakima County Fire District Five arrived to the 9000 Block area of Larue Rd. outside of Toppenish around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a house fire.
Marshall Slight, Yakima County Corner, did confirm with an Action News Reporter on the scene that there were two deaths as a result of the fire.

For the first time in a least four years, the city of Watertown has set dates to sit down with its fire union to negotiate a contract.
In two weeks, Watertown city officials will be doing something they haven't done in a long time - negotiating a contract with the city fire union.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services says it’s no cause for concern, MCFRS says what’s called a “cold response” can be safer for EMS personnel, community members and patients.
