Several dogs were evacuated from a dog daycare in Seattle's SODO neighborhood Monday night when a fire broke out on the second floor of the Dog Resort. A $25,000 grant from Gesa Credit Union allowed Grant County Fire District 13 to add a new extrication tool to its new rescue vehicle. “Sometimes what is reported to Dispatch can differ from what has occurred. Gov. Gavin Newsom proclaimed a State of Emergency in Los Angeles County Saturday night to help facilitate cleanup and repairs after a massive storage yard fire shut down portion of the 10 Freeway in both directions. The fire was first reported at 12:22 a.m. in the 1700 block of East 14th Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

VIDEO: Family and friends said FDNY Firefighter Billy Moon had the biggest heart. Thursday night, his widow, two young children and parents got to hear that heart again in the chest of the man who received it. VIDEO: A small plane crashed into a car Saturday afternoon after making an emergency landing in McKinney, city officials said. The pilot, who flew from Midland and was trying to make the emergency landing at Aero County Airport, was unable to stop the plane at the end of the runway, officials added.
