The three fires burning in the Spokane area near containment after multiple days of active flames. The Columbia Basin Fire that started on July 26, has burned over 250 acres and destroyed 3 homes in the process. Containment has reached 85% after fire crews worked to detect hotspots with infrared cameras.

VIDEO: It's been five months since three first responders were killed in the line of duty in Burnsville. Police officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, along with firefighter and medic Adam Finseth, were shot as they responded to a 911 call for help on Feb. 18.
